Cheers!

Hi everyone,
I'm here today with my DT card for the Through The Craftroom Door  Anything Goes Challenge.  The roses were white so I colored the edges with a Copic then used the colorless blender to soften the lines.  Then I added Stickles to the edges.  I also colored the dotted CS with a matching Copic before cutting all of the leaves/swirl.  I used the Stickles on the dress and as earrings and champagne bubbles.

Thank for stopping by!
Hugs!

World's Greatest Dad!

I'm back again with the Father's Day card I made for my awesome husband and best friend  :)  I used an image by Pollycraft Digi's called Barclay's Tie. They have the cutest images!  I cut the image out and attached an Action Wobble.  The kid in me just loves those things!

Sailor Girl

Hi Everyone!
This is my 1st post as a Through The Craftroom Door (TTCRD)  DT member!  The challenges at TTCRD are weekly and always Anything Goes.   Today I have a card using the Rick St. Dennis image "Gigi" although I call her Sailor Girl  :)  Anyone who knows my work knows that I love to crop the images I work with.  This is no exception!
http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

Nothing like a close up to accentuate your little boo-boo's!  Still learning and getting used to the Copics  :)  I used a Vintage Button stick pin from Maya Road instead of the balloon.  I used a pop dot under the heart but it's hard to see because I colored the edges of the dot red.  Then I used Glossy Accents to attach a vintage anchor button.

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

I used a new Cuttlebug folder called Cross My Heart then lightly sanded it, also distressed the heart and Hopmeadow Circle die by Memory Box.

I hope you'll stop by to see the rest of the DT's projects.  I really am honored to design with a group of very talented and sweet ladies!  Through The Craftroom Door Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Kathi

Ladybugs & Daisies

Hi all,
This week at 613 Avenue Create I have a new kind of challenge for you.  Our challenges are always Anything Goes but the twist this time is called Create Your Own Challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge and I used:
Image, Patterned Paper, Solid Color Paper, Die Cut, Glossy Accents, Button, Twine, Ribbon

Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said and the image is from a set called Ladybugs and Daisies.  I colored it with watercolors which I haven't used before.  I think it came out ok.  I used Glossy Accents on the ladybug dots and I made some dots in the center of the flower. I heat set the image and sealed it with with Krylon workable fixative but it still ran.  So that is how I colored the petals...with the printer ink!

Hopefully you can join us this week!
Hugs,
Kathi

Exciting news!!

Hi again!
I have exciting news!  I have 8...count them...8 cards/projects published in the Summer issue of Through The Craftroom Door Magazine!   I wish I could show you the projects but I can't publish them to the blog only the magazine.  But if you're interested in subscribing to the magazine you can do that HERE.  It is well worth the price because you get free digital stamps in every issue, great tutorials, interviews with artists and companies as well as a lot of beautiful inspiration by some very talented artists!  If you are interested in submitting your work for publication you should check out this page Submission Guidelines Here's a quick view of some of the pages in the magazine (I have the graduation card and the easel calendar card on the cover)

So if that wasn't exciting enough, Colleen the owner of the blog/magazine, asked me to join the Design Team!!  I said yes, of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with such talented artists!!  So be on the lookout at Through The Craftroom Door Challenges
for my DT projects which I will post here too!  So enough babbling from me...now I really have to get to work!!  LOL!!

Hugs,
Kathi

Memorial Day 2013

Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US!  Today we went to the RI Veteran's Cemetery, they always have all of the flags out this weekend.  Last year we took Niko and he just ran up and down the rows and this year was no different.  I don't know what it is about that place but he loves to run there.  We also brought my Godson Denzel.  He was so interested in World War II  and looking at the different wars that people had been in.

so serious...
Thank you to all who serve and to those who have sacrificed for our freedom.  We appreciate all that you do.  Miss you Papa...

Guest Designer at Tammy's Scrapin' Corner!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am excited because I've been chosen to be the Guest Designer at Tammy's Scrapin' Corner!   The theme this week is Lots of Layers and she has two great sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps and SK Digis.  I chose the Flower Bud image by SK Digis.

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/2013/04/guest-designer-at-tammys-scrapin-corner.html

I fussy cut the digi after coloring it with my Copics.  I also colored the back quickly in case it showed on the foam dots.  There are two layers of the large flower and I put a button and a pearl in the center of the top flower.  The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink and I used the VersaMagic Aegean Blue ink.  The patterned paper is by Pebbles called Family Ties "Sister".  The solid CS are from my stash.

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/2013/04/guest-designer-at-tammys-scrapin-corner.html

The scalloped die is by Sizzix and there are two layers, yellow and teal.

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/2013/04/guest-designer-at-tammys-scrapin-corner.html

I colored the foam dots using my Copics and the same colors as the flower and leaf so you couldn't see the white.  I explain that in this post HERE.  I attached the button and pearl with Glossy Accents.

Thank you Tammy for having me this week and thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
Kathi

It's time for another 613 Avenue Create challenge!  As usual it's Anything Goes but this week there is a color twist.

This week I used the image Lady of the Roses and I made a wall hanger.  I cut out some of the roses from the main image which I printed rather large.  Here are pictures before.
