Hi Everyone! I just wanted to share with you that I've been accepted as a DT member for Kitty Bee Designs! I just love the images, they are so stinkin' cute!! Watch for my projects here beginning in June!
Please click the link to learn how this historic decision was
a stepping stone in abolishing segregation in the US.
That brings us to this weeks Anything Goes challenge at 613 Avenue Create the optional twist is to create a card or gift and/or gift holder for a Teacher/Educator. And just in case you need a little help I've created some digital quotes from prominent African Americans who have dedicated their lives to inspiring and educating the world in so many ways.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the crafty Moms out there! My husband is making me breakfast as I sit on the couch and do my post! My son is outside playing with the neighbors...ahh...life is good! Later I'll sit on my mother's deck and have a drink while we watch the boats on the bay. And best of all? There's no snow! LOL!! There better not be at this point! :) I've made a few cards for ourweekly Anything Goes Challenge at 613 Avenue Create. Our optional twist is Let's Celebrate! So whatever you may be celebrating like a graduation, baby shower, birthday, etc. we want to see it! For my first card I used an adorable pre-colored image by Toadstool Printables.
Hi Everyone! I'm here with a birthday card I made for my Mom and to remind you about our weekly Anything Goes challenge at 613 Avenue Create. Hi all! I've been a busy bee...I know nothing unusual! LOL! Well I'm here with my project for this weeks challenge at613 Avenue Create. As usual we are Anything Goes with the optional twist to use a Humorous Sentiment. You don't have a funny saying? Well, I've created a few freebies that we used on the challenge blog and you are welcome to have here too! Here is my project using one of the sentiments:
Hi! I'm here with my card for this weeks challenge at 613 Avenue Create. Our challenge is Anything Goes with the optional twist to use "diamonds" (clear bling) in honor of April's birthstone. I've used the rose from our newest sponsor (and new to offering digi stamps!)
Hi everyone, Playing with the watercolors again :) Boy do I need to practice! LOL!! Here is a card I made for the Outlawz CAS challenge which is to use and embellishment or image that begins with the first letter of your first or last name. That was a tough one and of course I couldn't do something simple like key or kite! I new I had an old unmounted Kimono stamp which I dug out and used, also the HB stamp is an old UM. I don't know who made either because I didn't label them...my bad I know! I've been missing my stamps. I love digi's but my first love was good 'ol rubber! Hope you like :) Hugs, Kathi
Well I was able to make a couple of last minute Easter cards!
I had a chance to play with my watercolors. I embossed the egg image with WOW opaque bright white EP. I've had this stamp forever! It's from Denami Designs. I used to love their stamps. I added some WOS on the hearts for a litter shimmer :)
Hey I'm actually here with a non DT card! I know right? LOL! I made an Easter card for a friend that I haven't heard from in a while. Hope you like!
The patterned paper is from a 6x6 MME pad called Remarkable, all other paper, dies and sentiment are from My Favorite Things. Micro hearts are from the Mama Elephant confetti die and the peep was a freebie from Create with TLC. Happy Easter to those who are celebrating! Hugs, Kathi Challenges:
Hi ya! Ok so I forgot to post my project for last weeks challenge at 613 Avenue Create. Yup...my bad. I'll do that tomorrow, what's one more day right? LOL! Did you know it's National Caffeine Awareness Month? Well I'm very aware that I would love some caffeine right now! This week at 613our challenge is Anything Goes but our optional twist is to use something caffeine related such as coffee, tea, soda or chocolate. Yum...maybe some chocolate will do. I'm easily distracted LOL! We have 3 great sponsors this week:Drawn with Character, Bugaboo Stamps and Fitztown. I'm using an image called We go together like Coffee & Donuts, well actually it's half of the image as I cropped the coffee cup from the original image.
The coffee bean stamp is so old, it's from Custer's Last Stamp. I don't think they're in business anymore. I inked it with Antique Linen Distress Ink then rolled the edges on Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The heart eyelet is ancient too. Papers by Authentique and MFT. Dies by MFT, coffee and cup highlighted with Copics, glossy accents on the coffee.
Here's the sentiment I used on my card. Right click on image and save.
Ok that's it for now! Make sure you stop by 613 Avenue Createto see what the DT have created. They really are a talented bunch and we are so lucky to have them representing us at 613!
Hi Everyone! Our challenge this week at 613 Avenue Create is a tribute to Dr. Seuss whose birthday is March 2nd.
I've created some Dr. Seuss quotes in PNG format. I've used one with an image fromthe Kidlettes 3 Bundle byMelonheadz Illustrationswho is one of our sponsors this week. This is a card I made for my daughter Shianne or "Shi" as I call her :)
a close up of the microbeads which I adhered with Ranger's multi medium
To download PNG's just right click and choose save as
I hope you like the quotes and choose to join us at 613 Avenue Createfor our Anything Goes challenge with the optional twist to use one of these quotes. All I ask is a simple thank you if you do choose to download.
This is my second post today. I'm here with a book mark I made for our challenge at 613 Avenue Create. The challenge is Anything Goes but our optional twist is to create a RAK because February 17th is National RAK day! In case you don't know a RAK is a Random Act of Kindness. Just a little something to make someone's day maybe a little card for your favorite bank teller or a candy treat for the mailman, in my case I made a book mark for my elderly neighbor who loves to read :)
I used the image Bell Sweet Tea. Colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils, stamp by Mama Elephant - In My Heart set, dies by Spellbinders, MME paper, crinkle ribbon and a vintage WWII era button!
I bought a bag of misc. buttons at Savers (big chain thrift store) and these buttons were in the bag. On the card it's stamped "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN". Wow huh? I hate to use them but I don't think they're really worth anything. And I know my neighbor, who is 82, will appreciate the extra embellishment.
Well thanks for stopping by again! I appreciate the company ;) Stop by 613 Avenue Createand see what the other ladies have created this week! Oh and you can see the awesome RAK I received this week from Sara on the DT!! She is such an incredibly talented artist!
